In the form of a tiny faery figure encircling the
stamens of a delicate Christmas rose and inspired by the legend of a young
shepherdess named Madelon.
Madelon was tending her sheep one cold and wintry night when she saw a group of
wise men and other shepherds pass by bearing gifts for the newly born King.
Madelon wept with despair as she had no gift to bring the child, not even a
simple flower. An angel, upon hearing Madelon’s weeping, appeared and gently
brushed away the snow to reveal a most beautiful white flower, tipped with pink
– the Christmas Rose.
