Artist Robert Glover explains how and why he
made her: "Every day when I listen to the news, there seems to be more and more talk of fighting and violence. Old conflicts flare up, people clash over their different beliefs, yet what most of us want more then anything is for the world to be at peace. I made this Echo with a slightly different intention to the others - instead of it reflecting the magic of Gramarye, I wanted it to send ripples from Gramarye out into the world - ripples of peace. The image of the peace lily was very strong in my mind, its snowy white petals with yellow spears, its glossy green leaves... and I imagined a Reverie calm and at peace in the protection of the leaves and petals, the way peace itself could comfort and protect us all." If you put one of the real plants in a place where there is not enough light, by the way, it will not flower. So put Keirene somewhere bright, and let her peaceful flower flourish, unfolding its petals under the Gramarye sun. |
